14- I was so built up to love him, and when I actually watched....I don't hate him, but he left me very "Meh"

48- I saw that and was like "How the hell did you get a picture of my best friend's scene queen little sister" D:

57- I protested so hard as my GF's and mom shipped it around me in the theater, and now it's my OTP. It's just so THERE (Which makes you wonder, if the movies semi-autobiogrpahical...)

72- OMG yes. You should IM me so we can fan together, because I'm starting to feel weird to (And also, going "WTF HOW were you guys NOT expecting this?" Obvious plot twist was obvious, even if I do love it)

I know, right? He's been dropping hints for a long time, now, and yet so many people are accusing him of pulling it out of the blue. Just because you don't like a plot development doesn't mean that it isn't logical or consistent. (I think that some people are pissed off precisely because it's too logical--but how does making a completely random plot twist make a narrative better, even if it means that it results in a cliche?)

I think I had the benefit, because I've read naruto completely INCONSISTENTLY that I was reading these chapters with their fight at the exact same time I was reading the flash backs the first time I was just like "Oh...oh I see what you did there" (Where as most people probably haven't read the flash backs with fresh eyes since what...3-4 years ago?)

But yeah, sans one point my friend made (That he shouldn't have had to kill the WHOLE family, although that could have just been because they wanted NO sharigan users around) it ttly makes sense, and is IC, and I'm just like "GAH, just cause the author isn't doing what you want=/=bad writing")

Althought I'm generally annoyed with the whole taste=quality thing fandom seems to have.

Thank you! Truth be told, I've seen a whole bunch of people complaining, and citing stylistic preferences as the reason, but I have yet to see a single argument based on any sort of generally-agreed-upon objective measure. (Probably because, if you're honest, you can see that it all adds up, even if you don't like it.)

Kishimoto has made his share of mess-ups, but I am of the strong opinion that this development is not one of them. :/

Yeah, I just really don't get how people are shocked. At all. (I actually feel bad cause I was ranting to a friend and was like "GAh people are dumb if they didn't see Itachi was good in volume 25!" And he was like "...I didn't.")

Maybe it comes from not just reading manga? IDK. The "Everything known about this major event is known throught the eyes of a biased 5 year old who grew up to be a biased douche who never looked for anything past what he wanted." You'd think anyone who'd read Harry Potter would see through THAT one.
