39. Ahaha, oh man. I love Azula/Katara. It makes negative sense canonically speaking, but at the same time it's ludicrously hot.

Actually, the funny truth is that I ship Katara with every girl under the sun, but I seriously think she's at least 70% straight. But she makes such an awesome lesbian that I can't help it.

72. Well, I'm glad someone likes it. Because I sure as hell don't, and I wouldn't want Kishimoto to be all alone in the Uchiha Obsession Corner.

Actually, it did like the direction it was taking for about...two seconds, when it looks like Itachi really WAS just a crazy-ass power-obsessed bastard, and Sasuke's entire backstory was just a massive Xanatos Roulette to obtain the ultimate power. Whoops, that sure got tossed out fast.

I agree with this comment. I too found it more interesting when I thought Itachi had just made a huge gamble all along, buuut we can't have that.

Now, I don't really know why I want that to happen, because it makes ITachi a very Saturday Morning Cartoon-esque villian, just jacked up a notch on the evil scale, and Kishimoto has always at least ATTEMPTED to make his villains a bit deeper than that. But... I guess it was because I just never saw any interest in Itachi. I thought it was perfectly okay for him to be that crazy, because that would mean we finally had an explanation and could PUT ALL THE UCHIHA BULLSHIT BEHIND US. Buuut no.

I'm still unsure if I like all this political intrigue, because you know that this is how Kishimoto will make poor broken Sasuke turn against the village, eventually leading to the dramatic Naruto vs Sasuke rematch, and that is... meh. I think I'm just too burned out on Naruto to feel excited about that prospect. I likedit when there were other villains but the Akatsuki and other characters except the Uchihas, what else can I say.
