When I worked for Hollywood Video, they fired the people who'd set up a comm for people working there on LJ and got the comm taken down, claiming that just using the name of the company was a violation of policies, and talking about working for the company at all was a fireable offense.

I also had an acquaintance online once who got into massive trouble with his wife because she discovered an anon website where he was talking about their relationship, and his desire to cheat on her with much younger women.

I remembered another one! I knew a guy who faked his own death. To break up with someone. And he didn't just fake a sudden death. He faked having cancer for something like a year. Asshole.
