I feel the same about dubbing: reading texted translations aren't that hard and you learn a lot from it. I consider people who need dubbing to be lazy and spoiled, and they should be forced out of their narrow sheltered world.

I don't need dubs, but I think they're fascinating and occasionally hilarious additions to the source material. Of course, if you're looking for faithfulness to the source material, subs are about par with dubs in most languages - worse in some aspects and better than others. If you want to have some nerdy fun, watch a subtitled version of any media intended for teenagers or older where you're passingly familiar with both languages.
