I JUST started watching Legion. I'm two episodes in and I'm really liking it so far, but I'm really NOT liking David/Sydney as the seeming canonical pairing. The whole "no touching" issue is undoubtedly supposed to make their relationship more interesting, but to me it just feels forced and unsubtle. Plus, they just establish the pairing and serve it to us on a platter in episode one, which has got to be the most boring possible way to do it. I'm really hoping that the show is being misleading about this pairing, and that David/Syd doesn't end up being a thing.

Clark/Lana in Smallville. I just find them incredibly boring. I mean, neither of them is really all that interesting on their own, and then you pair them up and it's like boring squared.

I'm with you on David and Syd. They way their relationship starts is like they are in grade school. It's hard to believe that they have serious feelings for each other.

The "no touching" thing doesn't bother me because I love Rogue but I can't get into Syd precisely because it feels like she's a Rogue but not Rogue character.

I don't think the show does it as well as (some of) the comics have done Rogue anyway. I haven't gotten far into Legion yet though.
