Re: Ethical dilemma...

That might be a good idea... she's into self help books. It's never really changed anything for her, but she will at least read them.

I try not to blame her therapists much. I'm sure they're good people, but she's fixated on her childhood as the source of all her problems and likes to talk about it endlessly. Unfortunately, she never takes the next step of altering her own behavior, she just likes having something/something to blame. She's really good at bullshitting herself, so I figured that she's also bullshitting her therapists as well.

Maybe something like this?

https://www.amazon.com/Improve-Social-Skills-Daniel-Wendler/dp/1517309328/

Try listening to the excerpt.

It's written by a guy with Asperger's, but it's also for socially awkward or shy people. Plus it doesn't explicitly have Asperger's in the title, but if she finds it helpful you could bring up the author.

+ all you have to do is say "this helped me, maybe it will help you too" as an explanation.

That looks interesting! I think she'd be offended at the suggestion she needs to improve her social skills, though. It's true, she does... but she wouldn't like to hear that.
