Someone posted on a public group that they think their boxer mix was pregnant. She was in heat and their unaltered male dog probably bred her. He had no job and could not afford to take her to the vet. Some people suggested getting her fixed. I also suggested that he should get her fixed and it was irresponsible (and against city ordinances) to have two unaltered dogs in the household.

I got into an 'argument' with another person about whether or not it is responsible to not neuter your pets. I mentioned that it is hard to find homes for purebred dogs these days (this FB group is for community stuff and has puppies/kittens being given away ALL the time), much less a mutt bred with another mutt. OP chimed in that he didn't want to get her fixed because he hoped to breed her a couple time.

I told him it was ignorant to do that because mutts in our area usually end up abandoned, used as bait dogs, or chained in a front yard their whole life. The yellow are the admins I tagged because threats are against the group's rules. They deleted the post less than a minute after that last comment.

I forgot about the whole thing but then I got a friend request (?) and this message from the guy. http://i.imgur.com/bgRCAn5.png

So far nothing else from him and I have not responded. My FB is set to the most private it can be and it lists the city I live in as a large city nearby. I don't really know anyone in this town as well. Not sure what he could find on public records OR if he would actually follow up on threat.

I reported the message to FB. Is there anything else I should do?

I'm not a legal expert, but I think it's gone far enough to take it to the police.

But also, claims they're a responsible pet owner while saying they'll kill your pets and have their dog kill your dogs. Those things do not mesh.

This is why you shouldn't get on your moral high horse. I'm not saying what this numbnut is doing is right and you totally ought to report him to the cops, but if you'd kept your self righteous opinions to yourself then you wouldn't have set him off or caused yourself so much grief. 70/30 on the blame game here.
