The important thing to remember is that what bothers you doesn't bother everyone, and vice versa. If someone tells you they're okay with being teased about their name, so you should be okay with people teasing you about yours, then that's wrong. But, by that same token, if someone says that they're okay with being teased about their name then you have to take their word for that. You don't have to join in, and it's understandable if it makes you uncomfortable. But you don't get to decide that what bothers you must bother everyone. People are all different that way.
