Okay so... I'm really not used to sharing writing with other people than my friend circle. Any advice for finding a good person or group to give critique? I write both fanfic and original fic, though I imagine I'd have to go to separate places/people for each of those, haha.

(Not that I don't trust the judgement of my friends, but it does help to get some outside opinions, too.)

Try writer sites/communities.
Personally I like Writing year and Scribophile

Wriye is a pretty relaxed community and great for discussion. It's for both fanfiction and original fiction.

Scribophile is for original fiction and more strict, but great if you want serious critique and discussion. Your also encouraged to critique others (for which they have helpful templates)
