Re: What's the weather like in your area?

I live in Tornado Alley and I still get freaked out at any talk of severe thunderstorms, too. Like you said in another post, it's the unpredictability of it all, and the fact that some tornadoes can be so...intense.

Hoping that things won't get as bad as they're predicting for you guys tomorrow. Either way, though, just keep an eye on the weather (or, alternately, if looking at the weather only makes you more nervous, then obviously don't do that ;p. Watching the weather sites/TV helps me, but I can see where it might not help others) and if you know somebody who's good at trying to keep people calm, just lean on them a bit. That's what's helped me when I've freaked out during bad storms. And so long as you've got a plan in place and a good shelter to hide in, then you should be okay if worse comes to worse.

But yeah. Fingers crossed it won't come to that and the worst you get, if anything, is just a little thunder and rain :).

As for the weather here? It's in the 50s and sunny right now. Been kind of a cool spring for the most part in my neck of the woods, but they are talking possible stormy weather this weekend, so we'll see how that pans out.
