Pretty good. Seeing my abs and feeling stronger these days.

Just have to get my skin in control >_< I had the flu and skipped washing my face, which is a huge mistake because it's that sensitive that I've now been tackling the breakouts for a couple of weeks. I just didn't have any energy.

Curious, what do you do for skin care? This past year has been hell on my skin for some reason and I'm trying to moisturize at night and wash and balance more, but nothing seems to help. :( I don't wear make-up or anything, but ugh my face is awful and idk what to do.

I use products I fell in love with when I was in Japan! So if I run out here in Canada, I go to T&T (supermarket with products from various parts of Asia). I think Japan and Korea are considered to have top skincare, depending on who you ask.

My skin type: Combination / dehydrated
Face wash: Whip Premium (http://www.ebay.com/itm/F-S-Made-in-Japan-Whip-premium-Face-Wash-Cleansing-foam-155g-/252227155778)
• does not dry my face/t-zone, which I learned is important in knowing whether or not a face wash is right for you
• it's supposed to be a foam, but it comes out as a thick wash, so you only need barely a drop on your wet hand because it rubs very nicely. My last one lasted a year!

Exfoliator: Cure Natural Aqua Gel (https://www.amazon.ca/Cure-Natural-Aqua-8-82-Japan/dp/B001ABLKK2)
• a godsend! This isn't a scrub, it's a chemical exfoliator, which means your dead skin comes off due to a reaction. it sounds heavy-duty, but it's not. it's made mostly from water and is extremely gentle, I don't feel a thing, and that's the point of it.
• I use it on my legs too! it works so well, the skin just rolls off. kinda gross, but pretty neat

Toner: Hada Labo Goku-jun Hyaluronic Acid (https://www.amazon.ca/Rohto-Hadalabo-Gokujyn-Hyaluronic-Lotion/dp/B00BSNBO9O)
• this feels so nice on my skin - it's thicker than a usual toner, but I like to put it on a cotton pad and dab my face with it before I moisturize. I feel like it really works well together with my moisturizer

Face mask: Kose Clear Turn White Vitamin C Facial Mask Sheets (https://www.amazon.com/Kose-Clear-Vitamin-Facial-Sheets/dp/B000FP46FU)
• honestly, I think anything with a vitamin c serum works just fine, doesn't have to be this specific one. I do like that they are cloth masks and that they are packaged separately (more sanitary - which is important when dealing with skincare) and they are overloaded with serum. there's so much serum that I like to keep the package each mask was in, put it in my fridge, and use the remaining serum on cotton pads that I can just stick all over my face

Moisturizer: Hada Labo Rohto Goku-jun Hyaluronic Milky Lotion (https://www.amazon.com/Hada-Labo-Goku-jun-Hyaluronic-Lotion/dp/B00BS3Q0XE)
• it took me forever to find a good lotion that hydrates my dehydrated skin, but also doesn't leave anything behind for my sensitive skin to break out
• this is very gentle, but also quite hydrating. It's a solid white colour, which usually scares me, but it isn't a thick cream; in fact, it's a bit translucent and thin. I really like this stuff

Sorry for the tl;dr ^^; I hope this helps though!!

No such thing as tl;dr when asked for recs! I am bookmarking these to research more when I have time. Thank you!

You probably already posted somewhere about it, but what are you doing to tone your abs/get stronger? Also, what's your motivation routine (When you're feeling lazy/too busy)?

I'm currently pushing myself to do some choreography videos/dance exercise videos (danced on Sunday, hatha yoga Monday, nothing yesterday, dance exercise + a little choreo today), but it's hard to maintain the habit/ build it in the first place.

Thanks and huzzah!

When it comes to the appearance of my abs, I just watch what I eat. My arms and torso are the first places I lose weight and the last places I gain, so if my abs are hiding behind a sheet of fat, I can give myself a week of eating well and generally staying pretty active, and they'll come back to me.

I can't stand working out! But I do love balancing and stretching, so I'm a huge fan of yoga and pilates. I find I strengthen a lot while balancing with yoga, even doing planks (actually, my left wrist used to crack nonstop whenever I moved it in circles, and planking has strengthened my wrists enough to help that a lot!), and pilates has been kind to my shape (my ass is more round + my waist hasn't straightened out the way it would if I stuck to sit-ups or running)

As for motivation... it's totally unreliable. I just make sure that I don't 'try' to do it; I just do it. Even if I'm busy, if I can find time to sneak in a yoga pose or pilates counts, I'll totally do it. There are a lot of things that can be done with a limited amount of space too. And hey, even if I feel lazy, I can still find a pilates work out for my thighs and butt while grinding on Final Fantasy, which is my kind of workout lmao

And I have a bad back, especially my lower (pulled a ligament a few years ago), so I actually need to be at least stretching every day, so I always make time for that. I just stretch out that time when I can to make room for more stretches and more workouts.

I'm also going to start rock climbing soon! I would definitely help me in working out my back. And, like I said, I really hate working out, but rock climbing would give me a goal. So I think that will be fun!

I hope I was helpful to you, anon!
