Clubbing.

My girlfriend loves to dance, but I'm a total homebody. I don't dance, I don't go for anonymous sex, and I don't feel comfortable getting drunk in the middle of town, so there is absolutely nothing clubs have to offer me. Didn't like it in my youth, don't like it now.

If I ever have to leave the house, merciful god forbid it, I'd much rather go to a local pub, within stumbling distance to my house, settle in, and get quietly tipsy while talking shite with some friends all night.

I'm the same way. I don't like dancing and have no interest in hooking up with anyone at a club, in addition to that dealing with the type of people who do go there to hook up is annoying.

I like really quiet bars because for me the whole point of drinking is to be social and talk with my friends. So in addition to clubs I don't like loud bars either.

When you have friends who love clubs it becomes a pain in the ass to have them try to pressure you into it every weekend. Like please just hang out with me in some other way.

I love dancing, but I still hate clubbing for all the other reasons you listed.

Nightclubs killed the last of my enjoyment when they stopped playing songs and started playing 50 seconds of the EDM/trance remix of a song before transitioning into 50 seconds of the EDM/trance remix of another song, and on and on forever. I don't know when exactly that change happened and I don't know why, but holy shit it ruined everything.

I know what you mean, I love most kinds of music but not that electronic shit. It sounds like disco being molested by a broken dishwasher.
