Presbyterians are Protestants, not sure what your point is here?

Apparently my version translated them as as Anglican branch while Anglicans were protestant (well they could be considered as such but a mistake on translator's part). My point was that in that area they were more into puritanical values (to me that is). Strangely translation also had Rachel Lynde as Margarette Lind which I never noticed till looking religion in book up.

Edit: This was even wronger as it was apparently Presbyterians vs. Methodists. Not certain if any had puritanical values in that area at the time but Polish translation from 1911 added that and since we were big on religious differencies - it was not within a humour context.

What is better - been deadly certain Presbyterians are an English thing. Yes, I live in Scotland.
