counterpoint - the existence of this tweet:

The phrasing is a little crude, but I don't see anything wrong with a guy saying how much his wife still turns him on after ten years of being together. Many people would envy that, honestly.

I respect his relationship but it's a fucking terrible tweet

(Anonymous) 2017-04-17 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
He didn't even write it though. Did you not read the thread? "Lost a bet to JenSchwalbach. Prize was to post the worst tweet she could muster on my twitter."

(Anonymous) 2017-04-17 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Meh, it was a bet he lost and posting that was paying his dues.

I mean he's said and done plenty of offensive stuff, but this is just kind of *shrug*

(Anonymous) 2017-04-17 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't find it offensive, it's just a bad tweet and it makes me laugh

(Anonymous) 2017-04-17 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
SA as above. I just read the follow up on that tweet where he says it was the result of him losing a bet with his wife to post the worst tweet she could muster. That's pretty funny, actually.

Honestly, despite the kind of crude phrasing that makes me cringe (because it's just not my scene), there's nothing actually shitty about this. I mean, it seems pretty clear his wife was fine with him posting it. And there wasn't really anything derogatory about it. Despite being crude, he was actually doing a pretty good job of talking about her as an equal and active person in their sex life.

That said, it sounds like the whole thing was actually a joke/bet he had going with his wife. Either way, this changes my generally favorable impression of the guy exactly zero.
