You start to understand how movies can go really wrong. He was really enthusiastic to start with. I think it was in An Evening with Kevin Smith or 2: Evening Harder.

You know, I was so genuinely baffled by anyone thinking that could be a good idea, that I thought it had to be a joke, but then I remembered somebody thought Superman IV was a good idea. And Peters did eventually get his giant spider in Wild Wild West. And we all know how well that turned out.
