I got to question two and was stumped.

"The emancipation of women is one of the crowning glories of Western civilization."

If I disagree with that statement, will the test take me as meaning that I don't think women have been fully emancipated, or will it take me as meaning that emancipation of women was a YUUUGE mistake?

I think it will take it as emancipation isn't the 'crowning glory'.

I had the same problem. Also, "Western" does that mean we ignore what other cultures have done? What era does "western civilisation" cover? And when exactly were women emancipated? Are we talking the right to vote? The birth control pill? Roe V Wade?

I went mildly disagree, which I'm sure gave me traditionalist points, but I think we now have the internet. World wide dissemination of knowledge trumps any once social class being elevated.
