1914-1939. I am fascinated by WWI and all it entailed and influenced. Then you have the 1920s and the rise of motion pictures, the radio and popular music, Art Deco design, and great fashion. Then the 1930s are just super interesting with the Great Depression, excellent literature/film/music/fashion of the era...everything.

The Great War was such a mess. I'm spending the four centenary years trying to figure out what happened. And the more I find out, the more annoyed I am that the whole shebang was hijacked by the literary war - and that I bought into that for so long. There was more to that war than poets.
