As others said - your secret is strangely worded, OP.

I assume that you meant liking characters exploring sexuality together for first time which somehow is not what you fancy in person. Would say it is quite standard as plenty people like to read about different kinks (or lack) than they enjoy with partner(s).

The part of straight folks being straight while being in a gay or lesbian relationship is doable as it is irl as are folks who discovered other sexualities with new partners. However, would not say that forcing characters into stiff boxes of 'forever straight as was before that' or 'forever been gay just never told my exes :D' are about samish so would not say second is more progressive.
