SO DON'T START CLAIMING TO KNOW WHAT TRUE ART IS. think whatever you want, but if anyone thinks he/she have the authority to determinant what fans should consider "good art" deserves nothing but a "BITCH PLEASE!" response.

Oh shut up! They're right. Art is subjective! There are people who shit in toilets, add food coloring, flush and take a picture of it. Then they hang it up on the wall and call it art. There's some crazy ass "art" exhibit out in Germany with a bunch of people have locked in a gallery with lice infesting their heads. They call that art. Is it art? They think so. I say hell no! But it's subjective! I can't say definitively whether it's art or not. It's a personal thing that each person decides, so your feelings on Clamp are not the be all end all about Clamp's inherent artistic merit.

Everyone has the right to decide for themselves, what art is and what's good and bad.

playing the "she disagrees with me so she must be a bitter fan" card is oooooooold. ( srsly, people hate CLAMP for many valid reasons and they have every fucking reason to. nothing is perfect. but saying "to me the art is shitty" and saying "the art is shitty and thats a fact" is two different things ).

I don't give a flying fuck that the OP is talking about CLAMP. if it were One Peace my point WILL STILL BE THE SAME ( and I happen to think One Peace art is pretty shitty, but hey! I don't preach on people who think otherwise ).

they're simply stating that as far as art goes, how clear every action is and how big of an impact the layout of each frame has is far more important than the "pretty" art that CLAMP parades around with

I've read my share of CLAMP, and the action scenes ARE a bit harder to follow, and the frames don't have the visual impact that you see in other manga

as far as I can tell, the OP is kind of feeling down because most of fandom has orgasms over art (e.g., CLAMP's) that really isn't anything to sneeze at.

but then again, you'd probably realize that about the secret if you weren't a bitter CLAMP fan who immediately ceases to see logic once someone insults your precious fandom. ;p

see, I was actually agreeing with the OP until He/she basicly sumped everything up with the "good art" "bad art" labels, which strucked me like someone was stating a giving fact rather than a personal opinion. if the OP said something like "there much more to good art than just prettiness" then I would've been fine with it.

I don't get "bitter" because somebody bashed something I love, I get "bitter" when someone treats their opinion and standers as facts. I might be overreacting here, but I've seen this attitude in every single fandom I'm in to the point where I got fud up with it.

LOL, I still find the art shitty as hell, one of the worst I've ever seen ( even thogh I love the manga itself). it's your opion in the end, and srsly anyone who tries to force you to think otherwise based on thier own standers is a fucking jerk.

it was my understanding that the bad art v good art labels are bad and good by a technical standpoint - e.g., easy to understand, meaningful composition.
