I'd contact the author once more, and ask. Who knows, there may have been a big disruption in their life and they need a bit more time (I'm not excusing anything here, it's been nearly 4 months after all, I'm just suggesting perhaps something happened and your fic has been back burnered). Were you promised a completed fic by a certain date or was it up in the air as to when you'd get it? You can also contact the charity and let them know that what you won hasn't been delivered yet, and that you'd like a timeline as to when it might be available. I'm assuming you had to buy a ticket to win the auction? Yeah, get in touch with the people who ran the auction and let them know.

SA - I'm planning to write an angry email and then edit out all the angry bits.
They said when they got in touch that life had gotten on top of them, but I looked at their AO3 profile and they've been active there since, so they're obviously not too busy to write...

I didn't give a strict timetable for the fic, but I did say that I really didn't want them to drop out of contact for months, because that's exactly what happened the last time I tried to commission a writer :(

Oh, well if they've been writing other stuff on AO3 then there's no excuse. Get in touch and remind them.
