I used to have brutal migraines - the kind where you just lie in the dark and stay as still as you can and periodically throw up from the pain. I was lucky, though, because they were always short. Usually around five hours max.

Admittedly, not as bad as many of the examples in this thread, but still pretty horrible. If the migraines had lasted longer or if I'd had them often, I have a hard time imagining how I would've been able to stand it.

If you ever feel like one might be coming on again maybe put ice on the roof of your mouth (or give yourself brain freeze in some other way). This is the only thing that has ever helped me ward one off.
