First gallbladder attack. I legitimately thought I was dying.

I legit can confirm, holy hell, that was the worst pain ever. I swear I felt like I was going to die, plus I couldn't keep anything down, even water.

That's how my mom described it. She thought she was having a heart attack or something.

Kidney infection. I thought I was dying. And then I had to fly home from college. Even with the painkillers they gave me I still thought I was going to die.

Corneal abrasion. It healed completely with no lasting vision impairment, but holy shit it was painful at the time! Even with prescription pain killers, I was in too much pain to be able to fall asleep.

Having a large second degree burn roughly scrubbed with disinfectant every two days for several weeks.
And something I was pretty sure was an attack of columns but I'm not sure about that. Hurt like he'll though.

Stumbled down the staircase and broke three toes. We had a 2 story victorian house and our bedroom was upstairs, only bathroom was downstairs, so I had to aggravate it every time I needed to pee. Fabulous few weeks, those.

I think I just cracked my little toe again this morning. I have something of a talent for breaking toes. It's why I always wear shoes in the house (they're my indoor-only shoes, before anyone flips out over "Ew, wearing shoes in your home!") I just hadn't changed into shoes yet before I smashed my toe into the bed frame while making the bed.

either kidney stones, a ruptured appendix, really bad menstrual cramps or a tumor the size of a melon on my ovary that I had for a year because it kept getting misdiagnosed.

One time I went to the emergency room and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with me, they theorized gallstones but I never found out for sure. I just was in a lot of pain and then I felt better later.

Also chipped a bone once, which is actually more painful then breaking or dislocating a bone. It was tiny so they had trouble locating it but damn did it hurt like all hell. I remember that pain more then any times I broke something.

Oh easy. An impacted Wisdom tooth that was just absolutely unbearable and the pain still lasted almost two weeks AFTER the tooth was extracted.

Throbbing tooth abscess that legit made me consider suicide.

Miscarriage at 2 months. My insides came out thru my vagina, istg.

Only about 6 weeks for me, but NOT fun. (Plus I'd been keeping the pregnancy a secret until I could figure out wtf I was going to do, so going to the corpsman and saying "oh hey I think I'm having a miscarriage, can I have some Vicodin" was right out.

There have been multiple times when the TMJ has made me at least briefly consider offing myself. And then it fucked up the nerves in my face and even a light breeze on my face felt like someone was brushing it with RED HOT FUCKING NEEDLES really sucked.

tie between gastroenteristis (3 times, never could pin down a cause but that is some excruciating gut pain) and hemorrhoids. to this day I mentally rage at any hemorrhoid commercial that treats it all cutesy and "tee hee your butt!" because holy shit that was not funny pain. first time I legit cried because I was in so much pain and couldn't make it stop.

Menstrual cramps a few months ago. I couldn't stop vomiting and my body just basically shut down as a response to the pain.

I'm going to go with acute pancreatitis. Like being punched right below the solar plexus combined with ballistic projectile vomiting. The kidney stone and gall stone were just as bad but without the projectile vomiting.

I would say the pain after I got PRK done on my eyes. PRK is different from Lasik in that instead of cutting a flap on your eye, you get a layer scrubbed off of your eyeball before they laser it. But the layer grows back. So a day after the surgery when the layer started to regenerate, that was the worst pain in my life, ever. I was living off of Percocet just to function, it was that bad. Worth it though, I'm still seeing 20/15 after 4 years, and I went into the surgery at like, -9 in each eye.

Breaking my radius.

Not the break, really...but what came after. And every time it moved until it got splinted. And when they shot my wrist up with lidocaine (which they have to do slowly because it's so thick and OH MY GOD).

Like. Just all of that.

I feel like I've been both extremely lucky and extremely klutzy in my life, so it's kind of a tough call. My worst "son, you done fucked up" moment was probably the time I grabbed a hot cast iron pan (didn't realize it was hot) and my hand went fucking numb. When the feeling came back, it was bad.

I used to have brutal migraines - the kind where you just lie in the dark and stay as still as you can and periodically throw up from the pain. I was lucky, though, because they were always short. Usually around five hours max.

Admittedly, not as bad as many of the examples in this thread, but still pretty horrible. If the migraines had lasted longer or if I'd had them often, I have a hard time imagining how I would've been able to stand it.

Nthing the cramps. A day a month spent wondering if I'm in hell.

The only thing comparable painwisewas breaking the ligaments in my ankle, and I think cramps are worse.

Colonoscopy with an inflamed colon and no painkillers.
