Actually, what all the comments and kudos are telling you is that others in your fandom have wanted to read that some configuration and circumstances you like, but haven't put "pen to paper", as it were. You are filling a need in that fandom. Thusly, those who can now find and enjoy it are ecstatic!

Of course, I might be biased because my fandom likes to write one of the main canon characters one way, I write him another, and my own rebellion has gained me a cult following, too. :) Which I'm very grateful for!
