I grew up in a majority white community. My hair was always considered brown, brunette or light brown. I grew up and moved to a racially diverse city where I became "the blonde." Just depends on perspective I suppose.

Yeah, my hair's that same mousy light brown-ish shade and when I was younger my best friend told me that in Singapore (where she's from) I'd be called "yellow-haired." Very much a matter of perspective.

I'm Asian, grew up and still live in Asia, and this guy has never looked blond to me -- and his face is on here almost every week since 2008.
