Benefit of the doubt: Do you mean like an amazon in the background of Themyscira? Like an extra in a DC movie set on Themyscira? Cause I see what you mean, they do have some amazons looking like that.

Then again, hell, there have even been instances where wonder woman was drawn like that, but I think her look is kinda not fitting with whats thought of as classical amazons - although they are often described as beautiful warriors, so... Shit, maybe? - and not really fitting with what comic fans want to see from her.

If they were making a movie based on the first issues of wonder woman, I think I could see it. Or if they were making a wonder woman film and they needed somone to play a random amazon in this scene:

How well the actress can act, and whether or not they support ethnic cleansing. Lets just be clear here, Gal Gadot supports ethnic cleansing and killing of kids in hospital. If you see this movie, you are endorsing that.

I'm not hugely invested in who is Wonder Woman, but honestly my best friend who works out in her makeshift home gym has better guns than Gal Gadot. Surely she could've bulked up a bit more for the role. All the dude heroes do.

I think I could have dealt with the fact that she doesn't look the part if she was able to act the part and had some sort of on screen presence. But she had none of that. She mumbled most of her lines and I don't even know why anyone was excited for her at all.

The Wonder Woman movie is rumored to have been a mess during initial screenings too and I doubt it's going to be good.

I know it's been harped on continually, and I honestly do appreciate her attempt at putting on some muscle (just thinking of the bikini scene in Fast Five in particular), but I just wish Hollywood would find a woman that can both act and squat more than 100 pounds (or at least looks like it) would be really nice. "Amazon"/"amazonian" is an actual descriptor. Maybe find an actress that fits it.

Not to be mean - for once in my life - but she wouldn't inspire that much attention from me as a booth babe either. Don't get me wrong, I ain't no oil painting, and there is no way I'm calling her in anyway unattractive. Just that, compared to some booth babes, she's a bit on the boring looking side.

I agree, btw. She's not wonder woman material. Maybe Zatanna. Maybe. But I think personality wise based on how I've seen her act the same psudo-tough girl in everything, she might look more Like Z, but I doubt she could act like her.

I don't like to harp on a person's appearance, but that protruding collarbone and very thin arms don't scream "strong Amazon woman" to me at all. Hopefully she can at least act the part even if she doesn't look it.

When I first saw Gal Gadot was cast as Wonder Woman I was disgusted, because it was obvious to me she was only hired to look sexy and super skinny and not like an Amazon warrior. I kind of softened on her casting after I re-watched a scene she had in Fast 7 (I think?) when she stayed with a man, an enemy, to comfort him while he lay dying. It was a very Wonder Woman thing to do.

Then I saw she built some muscle (not too much, of course) in a BTS clip and she didn't look like a stiff breeze could knock her down anymore.

Ultimately, she was one of the best things in Batman v Superman.

Is she bad at action scenes? Genuine question - I'm no expert but I enjoyed her fight scene in BatsvSuperman. (Pretty much the only thing I enjoyed...)

Unfortunately Hollywood is still afraid of buff women. Wonder Woman is one of THE strongest and most beautiful super heroes. She is supposed to look strong and show that girls can be strong too.
