For shows that pick up years later, what did you think?

Examples might be Girl Meets World, Gilmore Girls, Fuller House, Arrested Development.

Any others you can think of?

I liked Girl Meets World and wish it had gained the same attention that the original had, but I don't think many shows reach the audience the way Boy Meets World did.

I couldn't bring myself to watch Girl Meets World because it felt too much like a Disney sitcom and not enough like the old show. I think i watched one episode and it fell flat for me. I understand they were trying to reach young kids with it but I feel like they were also trying to get the older generation to watch and I'm not sure if they did well enough for either.

I thought Arrested Development was good once everything came together, at first the cast being pulled in separate plot lines felt weird but it was kind of genius when it all came together. Probably not the strongest season for Arrested Development but I wasn't as mad about it as other people.

X-files is another case where I thought it wasn't too bad but could have been better, I'm hoping the next season picks up the pace.

Heroes Reborn was bad. They essentially spit all over the original heroes and didn't really make me like the new ones enough to forgive that.

I watched Girl Meets World while I was babysitting and it was entertaining, but I do agree that it doesn't have the same wide appeal to families that way the original did.

I think Arrested Development did really well considering they had problems with cast scheduling and I think it kept most of the feel of the original, where you had to watch all of it in order to get all of the little side jokes.

I might have been more entertained by it if I had been babysitting myself because I do know there's far worse out there in the Disney sitcom world just from what little babysitting I've done, but watching it on it's own didn't really motivate me much.

And yeah I agree. I pretty much knew Arrested had a big challenge getting all of it's cast back to do the show again because that show has such good talent in it so of course they're all busy. The moments we did get with them together were great and some of the jokes from that season were classic (the sound of Silence being repeatedly played during Gob's scenes is one of my favs.)

Yeah there definitely much worse shows. I was so glad when she grew out of the Dora phase. I can't stand Dora the Explorer.

I think it's about time for another rewatch of Season 4 of Arrested

I never really got into Girl Meets World, BUT I thought it was incredibly well done. I think being called "Girl Meets World" probably left people with the impression that it was basically just female version of Corey and Shawn. Well, and actually, Maya and Shawn do share some of the same qualities. (But... I also think everyone has a friend a bit like that in school, if they aren't that friend.) So that was probably part of it. I also found it a little cutesy (for me) and mostly lost interest because of that. But honestly, I think it's exactly how "they're all grown up now with kiddos" should be made.

I did like seeing happy Corey and Topanga, that's for sure. They're exactly as I pictured as parents.

Haven't watched all of them yet but I've seen the first 9 eppies of the new MST3K and I think it's very funny but the pace of the riffs could be a little faster.

Any of the new ones you'd recommend in particular?

they're all funny pretty much across the board so far

My Mom convinced me to watch a few episodes of Fuller House with her, and it was awful.

It didn't have the same charm as the original.

I honestly love Fuller House, though mainly because there's more Kimmy and she was always my favorite character in Full House.

I can see that because the show definitely featured her way more and also seemed to go more in her direction from the episodes I saw.

I did not have high hopes for the Veronica Mars movie, but then it turned out to be pretty good. Basically the only thing I disliked about it were Veronica's voice overs. If I could get a copy without the voice overs I think I'd pretty much love it.

I quickly made up my mind that I was never going to watch The X-Files revival. I'm a diehard fan of the series and all the other diehard fans whose opinions I respect said they wished they could go back and stop themselves from watching it. Plus everything I head about it sounded awful, so I was just like nope.

I also can't bring myself to watch Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life. I've just heard way too many things about it that don't sound like the show I loved.
