I keep watching it because of the loyalty the brothers show to one another. My family and I are not like that, at all. We'd never go to such lengths for one another, and to be honest, I like watching it FOR that very reason. I watch "Brothers and Sisters" for the same reason. Sure, the actors are hot (or, well, one of the actors is a hotass who can't act, the other is a robot who can act his ass off), but I honestly watch it because of the family dynamic. If you take all the bullshit out, all the nonsense, at the core, there's a whole lot of what family should be about - abiding and unconditional love.

That's me being straight up and honest, and considering this isn't f_w, I'm not anticipating a bunch of wiseass remarks - but feel free. I've come to notice that every other fandom looks down on the Spn. fandom, and there have been reasons, but it's a bit overdone, in my opinion. That said - have at it.

The family dynamic is what kept me watching the show, too, so I can totally respect if that is enough for you. But other elements of the show lacked too much for me to keep up. I've never looked down on the fandom, but I haven't been able to tell my fandom friends that I just don't dig it anymore because of their extreme reactions. And that's a shame. I support people who like it; I just want it to be okay that I don't.

Oh, it's fine that you don't. There are shows I used to love that I stopped watching, and felt bad about it, just as you do. I'm not attacking you - just making a comment about why I like the show, not ironically, if that makes sense. Whoever used that word "unironically" is fucking with my brain, so hopefully you get that my response has nothing to do with OP's opinions on the show. I'm just letting that other commenter know that there are people who have valid reasons for liking the show, and it's not necessary to put them down.

It's not like I'm watching America's Next Top Anorexic, know what I'm saying?

Also, this fandom? Full of asshats and pretentious television snobs who simply don't get that it's ok to watch a show and not analyze every single minute of it, just like it's ok if you want to stop watching a show. So you not looking down on fandom? Kudos - you're bigger than them, and me. I think most of them are tools with no lives whatsoever (and the fact that I'm back here replying to this doesn't put me in a good light).

I do think that because Spn. fans are always worried that the show will get canceled, they're pissing all over your "secret" because it just makes more people out there say, "Oh, I'm definitely not watching this show, now."

And that's ok, man. But you know that the fans are insane, lol. Gotta be careful. *winks*
