I don't think being drawn towards 'dark things' is necessarily a bad thing at all. I'm drawn towards dark things, including fic, and personally see it as a way of working through the darker aspects of this world. Also, when I expressed concern to a friend about my interest in 'dark' writing, she said that isn't nothing to be concerned about. There are truly awful, dark and twisted things that can be found on the internet and deep web, for people who truly need psychological help. Fanfiction, even the 'darker' type, is usually pretty innocuous.

In other words, OP, I think you're fine. I'd say you're just working through some things, at the moment, in your psyche and this is just one way of doing it. I'd also say a pretty healthy way.
