Normally I'm pretty live-and-let-live, but we shouldn't let people have 19 kids. At that point, unless the "parents" are super-rich, they're turning the older kids into babysitters and depriving them of care.

I've known people from families with only two or three kids who've been essentially turned into the caregivers for their younger siblings. It's not a large family thing, it's a neglectful and ego-driven parents thing. It's just more obvious with larger families because we're already looking for things to judge them on.

I don't think it's a great thing for the kids, but from a population standpoint, families that large are very rare and balanced out by people who have no kids.
