I've had a couple of fics of mine really clearly "fixed" by other people, it's... aggravating. I've confronted one who was particularly egregious about it (lifting entire sentences and phrases from mine), and she went full-on victim mode, acting like it was my fault for writing a "sad" version of events and triggering her. (Her words, not mine.) Never mind that what she changed made it completely out of character.

The other one I didn't mind so much, because it was really more just "inspired by"-- it was sort of a unique premise and the timing was about right, so while I can't be 100% sure it was lifted from mine, it was a pretty good bet. But at least it wasn't straight-up plagiarized. I still would have liked a bit of a mention, though.
