Re: Thunderstorms

If they're quiet, uneventful storms, I don't mind them. Sometimes it can be kinda neat to hear the soft rumble of thunder and the rain falling. And I absolutely love reading about them and hearing wild stories of big thunderstorms.

But it's one thing to read about that kind of nasty weather. It's another entirely to experience it. And when we get storms with flooding rains and huge hail and risks of tornadoes, then I don't like them so much anymore. I also don't like seeing the super sharp lightning. It's kinda freaky and usually indicates a really loud clap of thunder is coming. And that takes me back to when I was a kid and HATED loud noises. I was scared of thunderstorms in general regardless of how bad they were when I was little simply because the noise scared me.
