I would always hope to be pleasantly surprised with feminists, I'm assuming that's what your driving at?

Or are you saying that even with my bleak view of the movement, I would still be disappointed in you guys?

No, I know what your saying, and good, I hope you're right, but sadly I will have no shortage of feminists that will exactly meet my expectations. People of all stripes do not pleasantly surprise me very often.

I'm saying that if you think your scenario would cause an argument, and you'd look forward to it, I think you'd be disappointed, because most feminists don't think women are perfect beings who can never make morally dubious choices. (Given that's...not what feminism is.) Plus that version of the story sounds really cool. :)

Oh, I see! Yes I get you now. Yes disappointed.

But no, there's a feminist out there who thinks sharia law would be the most beneficial system for women. I think I could find someone to argue with.

Hell, bring up any example of a woman raping a man on this very community and get ready to have this defend why, yes, that actually really is no different than the reverse. I agree that feminism is not supposed to be about hating men, but if you do hate men you can find a home in feminism.

I hope this not coming across as a personal attack on you for belonging to the movement. That's not my intention. You're being very kind and respectful and I am grateful.
