Could be the fact that misogynist and racist shows draw a very...certain clientèle, one that does not tend to be interested in differentiation, moderation, or intelligent analysis.

Say, like, OP. Too few people are watching Supernatural; it has a rating of what, just over 1% of viewers in the US? That's why people just politely ignore OP's comment.
