Well, it's not like Supernatural invented the use of salt and iron to dispel supernatural forces. Plus, I think you overestimate how many people watch that show.

I actually didn't even mind Mutt, but the plot isn't that great, and the action scenes in the second half of the movie just don't quite get there. I want to like it but it feels inescapably mediocre. Also, they should have had vampires instead of aliens.

Temple of Doom is a weird one to talk about, because there's a lot that I like about it, but it's hard to overlook the fact that it's almost aggressively racist. Still, if you set that aside, I think it works a lot better strictly as an Indiana Jones movie than Crystal Skull does - the villain is a lot more directly engaging and obviously evil, and the action scenes especially towards the climax are really fucking good.

I had not read the books when I saw the movie the first time, and I loved the scene, and loved her. I was so disappointed to find out that she wasn't going to play a more major role in the series.
