I am so behind on my comments.

Sometimes if I really love a story, it can be nerve wracking. I'm a bit insecure about my reading comprehension. It's hard to strike a balance between being totally generic ("great story!") and explaining my favourite parts of their own story to them, probably ineptly. I worry that when someone says "I love comments" they really mean they love the 3 paragraph comments from their writer friends, whether they're aware of it or not. I'm not a writer, you know?

The three-paragraph comments from writer friends are, of course, exciting because there is a lot of feedback/discussion. But when I'm leaving comments, I do sometimes worry that I'm not able to express why I loved something, so if I can't put it into words, sometimes I say that - that the story touched me, made me happy/sad, and sometimes I just highlight my favourite lines.
