Sometimes the secret is so vague that it's not really relatable to anyone. It's one thing to post something like "I hate when the "friends" who do nothing but bicker turn out to be the end game ship" without specifying which specific couple got your knickers in a twist. But if all you're going to say is "If my fandom knew how I really felt about the canon ship, they'd never forgive me," then don't bother. Or if you must, at least include a Chinese lesson and my lucky numbers so I can get some good out of it.

Those types of secrets definitely aren't mine. I write pretty long and detailed secrets, and my vague complaints are about something that can be applied to other fandoms too. I've actually only gotten a few "why the vagueness?" type complaints on mine because usually everybody is actually talking about the actual content of the secret.

When I say "vague" I guess I'm more saying that sometimes I write about specific situations that happen in a lot of fandoms but I'm just not revealing the exact ship and/or fandom that inspired the secret.
