I honestly do feel a little bit better after reading your reasoning...

but i still hate vague secrets, I always feel like I'm missing the context. So all that's left is a feeling of frustration that you won't get closure for. I mean you can guess, but it'll still niggle at your mind because you'll never really know.

Hehe, it's actually kind of amusing when I type it all out like that. Vague secrets are such a tease xD

I think it depends on the secret. Sometimes "I wish I liked the juggernaut pairing in my fandom." is better for discussion and people discussing their own experiences and pros and cons of liking the juggernaut vs. the rarer pairs.

"I wish I liked Stucky more than Steve/Sam so I'd have more fan content." is more likely to get "Cry moar, you ablest prick." or "You're one of those who only ships the POC for the morality points, ain'tcha?" and "But Stucky is SO GOOD, I ship it." and "Here's a detailed list of the reasons I just don't like Steve/Sam."

But at the same time when people start getting into "There's a person in my fandom who did a thing and I have feelings about it and it sucks. Picture not related because everyone will know who I'm talking about." then... yeah, that's just irritating.
