18. D: Don't be sad, OP. The Doctor doesn't seem very prone to hating people for their inadequacies. Think the reason you feel you couldn't handle an adventure is coz you've not been on one yet. You can't be ready for something like that; it's the kind of thing that changes you when you're in it, right?

And besides, emotional support seems like more the thing the Doctor would need anyways. Unless you're so completely incapable that you go and get yourself killed. Coz that would be totally not emotionally supportive at all.

I always find it funny when people insist Classic Who is better or New Who is better; no, not really. Certainly, there are episodes/arcs/characters that are, perhaps, played differently. But yeah, it all basically chalks up to personal preference. Me? I prefer New Who for all I love the Fourth Doctor.

... though, for me, it's more about it being the Rose Tyler Show. My love for her knows no bounds!

25 - While I completely disagree that Iron Man was a terrible movie (they did an absolutely amazing job translating the story from comic to movie while staying true to its spirit and updating the plot in just the right way), I have to agree that Speed Racer was AWESOME! It was just pure, no nonsense fun, and I loved every second of it! :) Definitely sent me back to my childhood! I mean, honestly guys - when you go complaining about a movie like Speed Racer... you really have to consider the source material. This is not a movie that you need to take seriously! It's not the next Schindler's List or something! It's a cartoon about a guy that loves racing cars and does so to battle against evil conglomerates. Um, hellooo? That is freakin' COOLNESS personified!

48 - Girl/dude/whatever, I can totally relate. I think people - fandoms in particular - are much to focused on the sexual side of relationships, to the point that everything they touch is sexualized. It's just too much. Sex is all well and good, but I think we need a bit more philia (that is, affection/friendship, love that is more emotional and somehow cerebral than the erotic love of eros) in our lives - and our fandoms. Rock on!

25. I can understand being frustrated if a ton of people you know hate a movie you loved and are raving over a movie you didn't like at all, but... stop and think a minute? THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME AS YOU, except flip-flopped. You don't see how they can love something "so bad" and hate something "so good"? For them, the "so bad" is Speed Racer, and "so good" is Iron Man. This isn't hard to figure out, people, no rocket science or anything.

40. Haha, I'm sort of in the same boat. People assume I've stopped reading Tsubasa because it got boring or I hate the new plot twists, etc. Truth is, I've just neglected it and plan on going back and catching up because I DO still love the series like burning, and haven't had any problem with any of the things the fandom complains about. TooBig!Secret: Agreeing with a ton of Rentheads seeming to be insane, but not all of us, plz. :3 Still, that said, you might have missed the point- they weren't not paying rent because they had AIDS, they weren't paying rent because they were "Bohemians"; it basically just means "a person with artistic or intellectual tendencies, who lives and acts with no regard for conventional rules of behavior." (Thanks Wiki XD;) Mark wanted to make films without "selling out" and giving into the crap that the news studio would (and did) want him to crank out; Roger was a musician but had totally lost his muse; Mimi was a dancer but was addicted to drugs, and you know where the rent money would go in THAT case, whether she knew better or not; etc etc. The four who had REAL problems paying rent, three of them did have AIDS, but it wasn't because of that; instead, Mark and Roger were pissed because when they signed on, their friend Benny had promised them they WOULDN'T have to pay rent, and had reneged; this was why Collins was upset, too, despite being the one with money, and he didn't even LIVE there. XD;

TL;DR RIGHT? A-anyway, yes. Not saying they were completely in the right, because Roger was stubborn and stupid and Mimi had her drug problem, and for that matter most of the other characters were messed up in some way or other, but. Not just not paying the rent because they were sick (as only 4 out of the main 8 were anyway).

ALSO, ALSO, what's your favorite love triangle? =D I'm guessing Mark/Maureen/Joanne, since the only other one without AIDS is Benny and he doesn't fit any of them as logically, at least not in a threesome. (Also, I don't think you need to worry; the entire point of the musical wasn't to make people baby the characters with AIDS and choose them over the rest of the cast. Like what you like! All the characters are hot. ;D)

48. Write whatever you want to write. I know a ton of people who write relationship stories because that's what they're good at writing, but they love gen. I know people who would prefer more gen, but can't write/FEEL they can't write. I personally love character relationships, platonic-friendship or platonic-familial or romantic or sexual, but tend to write shippy stuff because that's what I feel most comfortable writing and what usually sparks my interest. But I loev me some genfic. =D SO START YOUR REVOLUTION, GO ON~ You will have people who appreciate it, no matter what it looks like.

61. Manga/anime series aimed mostly towards a male audience are going to have fanservice and as much cuteness/sexiness/etc from the female characters as possible. Manga/anime series aimed towards teenage girls (or even shounen series that KNOW there's going to be a large female fanbase) tend to try to show the boys as pretty/handsome/built, etc, as possible. It's eye candy. As long as the character is being portrayed as something more than simple eye candy, relax about it.

63. She would not really be that weight. Manga has NEVER equalled real life, and Bleach seems to be HORRIBLE at giving realistic stats. Don't try to copy something that isn't trying to fact check at all, you'll only make yourself unhealthy- and look horrible on top of that if that's why you're doing it.

For the most part, I can just roll my eyes at most fanservice, and if the character in question seems like some thought and effort went into their personality, I don't worry too much about it. But I'm with you on the vacant smiles I see on a lot of anime girls-- it drives me absolutely nuts every time I see it and turns me off the series completely. Do I wish there was less fanservice in my favorite shonen series? Absolutely. But I can live with it as long as there looks like someone's home upstairs, at least.

54. 1000000000000x YES. Mousse was the best character in the entire series, as well as the first anime character I developed a bit of a crush over.

12: I agree with this secret so hard. Fandom frowns upon Doctor/Rose shippers, but I can't help that it appeals to me so much! I loved their chemistry and companionship, and I just like Rose more than the other companions. That doesn't make me stupid or whatnot.

10. I'm actually more of a Sensei/all the Zetsubou Shoujo-tachi fan, but even though I consider Kafuka to be one of the most frightening characters I've ever seen, I can't help but have a soft spot for that pairing. <3

25. Once my eyes stopped hurting from the sheer amount of saturation, I loved this movie. There were a few awkward moments, but overall it was really enjoyable. I didn't even know people hate it. o_o
