Get a hobby, for fuck's sake. So many people with this question. Get a hobby, and go do it at a group that does it. I didn't even WANT a social circle and I got one when I started playing tennis.

Not OP and I have so damn many hobbies and no friends--okay, one friend who I've known since I was three, and a smattering of people I'm friendly with from work. And I've made costumes and food for people and shared plant starts and lent books and discussed tv shows and... nothing. I mean, at least I'm not usually bored, but friends would be nice.

I am approximately 10000% confident that if I started playing tennis I wouldn't develop a social circle around it

I mean, not all hobbies are social. My main hobby is cross stitch, and I have never made any friends doing that. Sport related hobbies are very social, but not everyone likes sports.
