Re: How to exercise

Okay, this answer is coming from someone who hates exercise and eating better, but also from someone who is trying to do both of those things:

--Set simple goals:
1. Did you eat a fruit today? Good!
2. Did you eat a veggie today? Good!
3. Did you drink caffeine/soda/coffee/etc? Try to cut back from every day to every other day to once a week...or until you think you're feeling better.
4. Did you exercise today?

--Exercise:
1. Don't tell yourself you're going to exercise every day for 2 hours. Start small. Exercise 3 days a week for half an hour. Even just walking around a mall or a grocery store is exercise!
2. It's amazing what little things count as exercise! Here are some examples that can really add up!:
--> Cleaning your house/Chores
--> Walking around your place of employment
--> Running errands
--> Lifting groceries
--> Moving furniture around
3. Find something you like to do! I like treadmills and bikes because I can watch my shows while getting in better shape. And when I weightlift, I like to listen to my favorite podcasts!
4. Or, if you don't want to join a gym, you can do stuff at home. Youtube and OnDemand and Netflix all have workout videos you can do. You can also buy some cheap equipment for home, like dumb bells and resistance bands.

--Keep track of what you eat and your exercise routines:
1. Lose It app. I absolutely love this app! It keeps track of everything for you!
2. Make yourself a chart. I use the app, but I also like to handwrite it too. There is something very satisfying about seeing all the days I get to fill with all the good things I'm doing for myself!
