you know, I find it kind of bizarrely heartening that a dude is getting ragged on for looking his age in hollywood

but as a non-hypocrite, I really think both sexes should be allowed to age like human beings without being shuffled quietly out of sight

(the abuse allegations are another story, which is...yeah. but in general principle, he's allowed not to be a magic ageless dandy, omg.)

He's not getting ragged on for looking his age. Like others have said plenty of actors his age or older look amazing. He doesn't give enough a shit to make himself presentable and he's an alcoholic.

okay, but my whole point is that 'other superstars' is not actually a sane category for what we as humans generally usually look like at his actual age

like, comparisons to george actual fucking clooney, long time Most Beautiful Man in the World winner, speak to people's standards that people in showbiz should be inhumanely well-preserved and always Done Up

also, being an alcoholic sucks and whatever else he's done, I hope he finds a reason to climb out of that hole before he's buried in it
