I'd rather be cold than hot. That seems unpopular. The 90 degree weather here right now is making me miserable.

I prefer Moffat to RTD. That seems controversial here. I also prefer 11 and 12 to 10 and 9. My order would be 11, 12, 9, 10.

I don't think Loki is the MCU'S most interesting villain. I found Ronan more interesting (though getting more would be nice). And I love Thanos. And there are others I'd place before Loki too. I actually find him a bit dull.

I prefer Star Trek Voyager to Next Generation. DS9 is the best, but VOY is second. And Janeway is my favorite captain and I don't get the criticism and hate of her at all.

I prefer cold weather but I hate being cold.

I didn't find Ronan interesting at all. I honestly don't even remember why he was doing what he was doing (and I watched the movie very recently).

My favorite villain is definitely Zemo.

Vaguely related, Chris Evans's default photo for google is fantastic. Sebastian Stan....not so much. :|

I wish they'd given us more of Ronan's backstory. But the whole idea of the Kree's obsession with cleansing was interesting. And I was particularly fascinated by the whole past war with Xandar and his deceased ancestors and how that plays into his plans. That made him far more sympathetic to me than Loki's "poor me, I'm adopted, I was treated equally to my brother in every way but I'm going to complain and mope and turn evil anyway" routine. Just didn't do it for me.

Being cold is much better then being hot. I always tell people that when it's cold you can always put on more clothing but there's only so much you can do when it's unbearably hot. Plus it makes me sleepy and it becomes hard to work, last summer I was working in a place without air conditioning and it was pretty miserable (to make it worse we were working over computers and the monitors got hot as hell.)

Plus I hate sweating and my hair is less frizzy in the dry cold.

This is true if you're someone for whom putting on more clothing actually works. I have a garbage metabolism (which is weird because I'm thin), and I am literally cold ALL. THE. TIME. And there's not a lot I can do about it. Like, I can't count the number of times I've been wearing two layers of thermal bottoms, a long sleeve top, and two sweaters, IN DOORS, and I've been uncomfortably cold.

Whereas I love being warm. I even like being too warm, because it's so rare for me. I mean, wearing a jacket in 40 degree (104F) weather? Yeah, at that point we're talking nausea and rapid-onset heat stroke - that's not enjoyable at all. But anything shy of "I almost have heatstroke" is almost enjoyable to me, compared with the constant misery of being c-c-cold.

Yep, this is me too. Being cold is absolutely miserable for me. In the colder months I HAVE TO wear thermal bottoms, leggings and two pairs of socks under some warm trousers just to stop my feet and legs from getting so cold that it's physically painful. At least in the Summer I can wear normal clothes like a normal person and not be in pain.

I a million times prefer cold over hot. I hate, hate, hate the feeling of being sweaty and oily. I get light-headed and dizzy in humidity, I feel gross, I look gross, just no. Give me ten below any day before 90.

Yup. And only so many fans you can put on when the other people in your house keep the aircon at 80. I only have two fans, and both are going full blast.

I'm with you. Winter's my favorite season, fall's second. I hate it when the temperature gets to 90 or above. Heck, even upper 80s is a bit much for me.

Same. My house has useless AC that might as well be dusty air for all the good it does. I live in an area where temps can hit 90 to 100+ Fahrenheit and then doesn't cool off well at night. Summer is a total bitch. ESPECIALLY when I have to go in someplace with AC and come back out knowing my house will be hotter than it is outside.

You could rip the roof off my house and somehow it will still be hot at night in the summer. I survive on fans and lots of cold drinks, but I look gross until fall because of constant sweat.

Ugh. I'm so sorry. That's awful. At least my parents are willing to keep the AC on 80. Not ideal, but with two fans on it makes my room reasonable (which would be why I rarely venture out unless I have to). I hope things get better for you. Heat sucks.

And I also don't share the fascination with Loki. Especially in The Avengers, he just seemed so generic to me.

I love VOY more than TNG too. TNG is better written, yet somehow VOY is always just more engaging and interesting a show to me.

I really respect people who love Voyager, but I just cannot bring myself to like it at all.

That's totally cool. Tastes are different. Though I admit I get internally defensive of Janeway when I read some of the most extreme comments. But mostly as long as you aren't telling other people what to like or calling them names for liking Voyager, I don't care.

I prefer Voyager too. I can't really make good arguments for it since I've never watched neither TNG nor Voy completely, but I just like the crew better.

watch pretty much any SF debris review of Voyager if you don't get why some people don't like Janeway.

I've seen them. I get why in the sense I've seen the reasons. I just don't agree with a lot of the interpretations. At all.

Agreed on most of this (I don't watch Doctor Who, so I don't have an opinion either way on that topic). Ever since I "got spayed" I've been extremely prone to hot flashes and am usually overwarm in general, so I've gotten to prefer cold temps to the heat. It sucks living in Florida.

Loki's fine in small doses, but yeah, there are better MCU villains.

Haven't seen DS9 yet (it's on my to-do list), but I love Voyager and especially Janeway more than is healthy. It was my first and is my favorite Trek.

DS9 is slightly darker than the others (though not too much) and has more arcs, which I like. And I guess there just must be something about the whole setup I like because my favorite show, Babylon 5, was copied with some of the DS9 stuff.

But yes, Voyager was my first Trek too. It wasn't the first one I watched, but I had only watched a handful of TOS and TNG episodes when I started watching Voyager from the beginning. And I was at the right age to fall in love with it when my dad and I watched it together.

I still find myself mildly surprised when I get people agreeing with me about liking winter better, even though here in Brisbane winter is mild and summer can be unbearable at times.

I'd rather be hot than cold, but I understand why some people are the opposite.

I have no real opinion of Moffat vs. RTD because I don't really care for Doctor Who, but I did like Coupling.

Loki is not that interesting against the Avengers, but he is interesting against Thor, just like Stane is interesting against Tony and Winter Soldier and Hydra are interesting against Steve. Why? Because of their histories.

Next Generation is better plotted (mostly), but Voyager is more fun. Janeway was pretty inconsistently written, poor Kate Mulgrew didn't know when the writers were going to shift her from Captain Intrepid (but still empathetic) to Captain Repressive.
