ngl I still get irritated about all the people who called Snow a pedophile for being engaged to Serah in FFXIII. Snow was 21, Serah was 18! That's young to get married, sure, but that's not pedophilia. :/

Me too. especially because those people like will get in their minds that this ship is pedophilia and if you have any issues you're just an apologist or pedo yourself and thus the scummiest of scum deserving whatever comes to you.

I knew someone who used this tendency to get away with talking about how they wanted to physically assault people for shipping things ("but they're pedophiles"). I've become convinced that some or a good number of people on tumblr using the accusation so they can now justify being creepy levels of aggressively violent about ships they don't like without any criticism.

Yes, this is what I've found to be true as well. They just want a faux-moralistic reason to hate on ships they dont like (usually in favour of other ships).

There are people on tumblr that misuse so many goddamn words, this is a prime example that and 'queerbaiting'. No you idiots, two male characters sharing screentime IS NOT QUEERBAITING.

Yep. Queerbaiting is used for any two male characters who interact but don't immediately get naked and have porn-level gay sex on the spot.
