The Louvre. Don't get me wrong, there are lots of wonderful things to see, but it's so hot and crowded and it's hard to get a good look at some paintings because of people crowding them and taking a million pictures of them.

I agree! I liked Musee d'Orsee much better and Orangerie as well.

Yeah, there really are too many people there so it's overwhelming. What helps (in case anyone is reading this) is to get the museum pass that will let you have unlimited visits for like, a week, or something. Go very early, or in the evenings and make short trips without trying to see everything in one go. Don't forget to wander off the beaten path, because everyone wants to see the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, etc. but some wings are almost completely deserted.

But agree with shortysc22 - The Musee D'Orsay is a smaller, more manageable museum that isn't nearly as crowded.
