(Anonymous) 2017-05-27 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)After a certain age, if you're not married or planning to get married, people think it's embarrassing or due to some kind of failure on your part.
The question was what they think, not whether they're right

You asked "why would anyone think that" and I answered your question, that's all.

(Anonymous) 2017-05-27 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)I think a lot of it isn't so much explicit disaproval as a "There but for the grace of God go I" reaction. If you're happily paired off with someone you love, it's hard to seperate imagining being single from imagining being without your love, and that makes being single seem awful. There are also people who are afraid of being single for a multitude of reasons and just get uncomfortable being reminded of the possibility they could remain single or be single again some day.

(Anonymous) 2017-05-28 04:17 am (UTC)(link)Who knows. They just do.
But then again I'm halfway convinced you're just the latest in a series of named user trolls we've been getting in this community, so I'm not putting overly much thought into this answer.
