131. I'm a big proponent of fake ic_secrets, as long as they're interesting and stimulate play and all that. So I say kudos for your kind change of pace. Wait, the "look look look how morbidly deranged I am" secrets are on your overdone list too, right?

146. You don't want us as gods. We're terrible role models. Have you tried audiencing, or hanging out on IRC? It's not quite the same, but the people are generally pretty friendly if you just talk to 'em.

155 while we're at it. Do it anyway! It's fun, and any worthwhile playmates should be understanding if you feel noobish. (And some of us still constantly feel noobish after sort of a year.) Everyone has to start somewhere.

I'll never understand the whole 'muse' thing. I play the characters I do because I want to, not because there's a voice in the back of my head telling me what to do.

Wellllll, I think some people do just use the word to refer to RPed characters same as some say "pup," so I wasn't trying to be too harsh about that. Also it's hard not to get close to a character you play, and everyone treats theirs as a separate presence to some degree, cause that's just how RPing works, so some of that kind of mindset is understandable anyway.

But... nope, no matter the definitions, character still doesn't exist independently of me. My wishes trump hers, even if sometimes my wish is to be true to hers.

...Then again, I think I remember the Disgaea 2 characters whoring for paid time IC once. Does a flimsy fourth wall count as having a muse?

I remember a couple other characters ICly whoring for paid time, too, but it was the players who did it as a joke thing.

That was the joke, honey.

Now that I think about it, there are also games that are actually meant to be livejournal-based. Does it count if those characters care?

Tried it, failed. I don't get IRC and I was never a fun audience ^^;

And it's not that I don't think you're friendly! I've talked to a few of you, and I hang out on Campers Fuck Off all the time (without commenting); I know you're wonderful people. I can't really explain why the thought of talking to you frightens me so much ^^; It might be that I have another rp which I love and which I'm afraid that I'd start to neglect if I got a chance to play with you people, because I'd try so hard to be good enough. And I don't want to do that to the muns in the other RP ^^;

Well, the neglect thing is a legitimate concern, cause man, this game sucks up time like crazy. I'm glad you have some way to hang around and see the people behind the masks, though -- you really don't have to be scared of talking to us. Heck, CFO is doing a fine job once again of proving that all of us are completely terrified of everyone else. Everyone's just human, and we truly are run on paranoia. \o/ Thank you for your kind words!
