It's not my secret but that actually happened to me twice when I was 15/16 and getting into yaoi. I was hardcore Christian and got freaked out several times! So I think it could be real.

That makes sense! It could be real, I guess, it's just... hmm, I do know people who've done pretty much the same thing, but nobody's actually said it that way. It's less the getting spooked aspect I think hints at it being a troll, and more the phrasing about being "cured," calling it "yaoi free" like an actual addiction, and pulling the "I saw the light and I am a backslider!" thing- I hardly even hear people talk like that about real life issues, to say nothing of fandom. It could be real, but it almost sounds to me like someone mocking Christianity and trying to get the secret flamed.

If it is real, I'm just... sad for the person and hope they grow to feel comfortable with themselves.
