some guy on youtube went nuts on me because I said nobody outside of a TV commercial ever calls their sister "sis".

I wouldn't go nuts on you and it's ridiculous that he did, but my oldest brother calls me sis, at least over text.

My brother types it to me, and I type it online, too. But I've never heard it actually said out loud.

I've heard it other places, but now that you mention it, I'm not sure how often I've heard it IRL. I don't think it's as common as TV would suggest.

Either way, though, what a weird thing to get upset about.
