If you're from around Vancouver or Halifax, I'm going to assume you can get pretty good seafood. If not Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon are good and Maine is absolutely about the lobster. For Mexican food, there are really good places in the southern regions of California, Arizona, and New Mexico. And then there's Texas, which has a lot of Tex-Mex. For Cajun, New Orleans, Louisiana is king. For southern cooking, there's the South, maybe Georgia or Kentucky. Miami, Florida has some serious Cuban food. And apparently, Philly cheesesteaks are the best in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Do you get the Food Network? It has a half-hour show called Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives that focuses on several different specific restaurants across the US each episode
