I heard they are making an American version of this. I'm not much into zombies myself. But American remakes of foreign horror movies have a really bad track record.

Why... why would you remake it? A) it's new and B) it's amazing and doesn't not require remaking.

Because the original version doesn't have blandsome white Americans in it?

Nailed it.

1) A lot of people won't watch movies with subtitles or dubs.

2) If a movie is deemed likely to make a profit, it will get made. It being utterly unnecessary and probably horrible is irrelevant.

1) That makes me sad. :( I mean unless you're visually impaired and subtitles are not a possibility for you.

2) I mean, fair enough. I don't argue with the fact that entertainment companies are out to make money, it's literally their job, but there's a million and one movies to be made that remaking one just to make it English is a stupid way to go about it.

AYRT

Yeah, I agree. Well, I do have some understanding for people who dislike subtitles and dubs. I can't stand dubs, and I find subtitles a bit annoying. They're never really as bothersome as I think they're going to be, but the idea of having to constantly split my focus between reading and watching always puts me off a little. But when I do eventually get around to watching a highly-recommended subtitled movie, I usually get over the subs pretty fast and end up enjoy the movie a lot, so I can't imagine straight up refusing to watch subtitled movies.
